IIT Hyderabad Hostels

IIT Hyderabad is a residential campus with modern hostel blocks under the care of the Council of Wardens and the Hostel Office. All hostels are LAN enabled, well‑ventilated, and have drinking water on every floor.

Hostel life helps students build independence, discipline, and lifelong friendships in a vibrant atmosphere. With year‑round activities, the hostels truly become a second home.

There are 23 hostel blocks (16 for boys and 6 for girls). Most students get individual rooms with a cot, study table, cupboard, and radiant cooling system. Kalpana Chawla, Ramanuja, Vivekananda, and SN Bose blocks have double‑sharing rooms, while the Kapila block is dual sharing block for Non‑Regular Students.
